Job Description
Overview Job Overview Flame and Fire is seeking a motivated and reliable Cook to join our fast-paced fried chicken restaurant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality food, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring excellent food safety standards at all times. This position requires speed, consistency, teamwork, and attention to detail during busy service hours. The Cook will prepare fried chicken, sandwiches, fries, rice, sauces, and side items according to restaurant recipes and procedures while helping maintain an organized and efficient kitchen environment. Candidates should be dependable, able to work under pressure, and committed to delivering quality food and customer satisfaction. Duties Cook Duties & Responsibilities - Fried Chicken Restaurant Prepare and cook fried chicken, sandwiches, tenders, fries, rice, and side items according to restaurant recipes and standards Operate fryers, grills, and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Bread, season, marinate, and prepare chicken products daily Maintain food quality, taste consistency, and presentation standards Monitor cooking times and food temperatures to ensure food safety compliance Keep kitchen stations clean, organized, and fully stocked during shifts Follow all sanitation, hygiene, and health department regulations Assist with inventory, food prep, stocking, and receiving deliveries Change fryer oil and clean kitchen equipment as required Work efficiently during busy hours while maintaining accuracy and speed Communicate effectively with team members and front counter staff Dispose of waste properly and maintain a clean work environment at all times Open and/or close the kitchen according to management procedures
Requirements:
- Previous kitchen or fast-food experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Food Handler or Food Protection certification is a plus
