Job Description

The Role The Alfalfa Front of House Supervisor drives the day-to-day front of house shift, ensuring service runs smoothly, efficiently, and consistently in alignment with Alfalfa's hospitality, service, and cleanliness standards. This role leads by example and protects the integrity of the guest experience, service flow, and team culture on every shift. FOH Supervisors safeguard consistency in guest interactions, order accuracy, and floor readiness while modeling professionalism, warmth, urgency, and accountability. As the first level of FOH leadership on the floor, FOH Supervisors provide hands-on direction, support team coordination, and reinforce service expectations during live service. They help maintain a clean, organized, and guest ready environment, support team development through coaching, and uphold standards even in high-volume periods. This role helps create a structured, respectful, and high-performing FOH shift aligned with The Alfalfa Way. Job Responsibilities Drive day-to-day FOH shift operations to ensure smooth, efficient service Lead the pre-shift "daily sprouts," setting expectations and preparing the team for a successful shift Manage guest flow, service pace, and order accuracy from entry through exit Model and reinforce Alfalfa hospitality standards in every guest interaction Provide live direction, coaching, and task prioritization for FOH team members Address service gaps, guest concerns, and operational issues immediately Maintain FOH cleanliness, organization, stocking, and floor readiness throughout the shift Ensure proper POS use, cash handling, and order confirmation procedures Enforce uniform, appearance, and professional conduct standards Support accurate communication and coordination between FOH and BOH Reinforce food safety and sanitation practices in all FOH areas Step in to support service execution during peak periods Manage shift handovers to ensure each service period is set up for success Communicate shift updates, needs, and issues to management Support onboarding and skill development of new team members Uphold The Alfalfa Way by maintaining a respectful, accountable, and high-energy shift environment Job Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant front-of-house role with demonstrated service leadership Strong understanding of guest flow, service pacing, and order accuracy Ability to lead shifts, manage priorities, and direct team members in real time Clear, confident communication skills with both team and guests Proven ability to coach and correct behaviors respectfully and effectively Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and operational detail Working knowledge of POS systems and cash-handling procedures ServSafe Manager and Food Handler Certification (or willingness to get one) Understanding of basic food safety and sanitation practices Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds.

$25.00 - $27.00 per hour
