Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pizza Person and Chef to join our culinary team. This role combines the art of pizza making with comprehensive kitchen management, requiring a passionate individual who excels in food preparation, team leadership, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant or hospitality settings, with experience in food industry operations, menu planning, and kitchen management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase culinary skills while overseeing daily kitchen functions in a fast-paced environment. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish Manage food production processes, including ingredient preparation and cooking techniques Oversee inventory control and manage stock levels for ingredients and supplies Supervise kitchen staff, including shift management, training, and performance oversight Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and sanitation procedures Assist in menu planning to incorporate customer preferences and seasonal ingredients Coordinate with the dietary department for special dietary needs and catering requests Lead food service operations during shifts, ensuring timely delivery of orders Manage kitchen operations efficiently to optimize productivity and quality control Oversee catering events, banquet services, or fine dining functions as needed Handle inventory management tasks to minimize waste and control costs Ensure all food handling practices comply with health regulations and safety guidelines Skills Proven experience in restaurant management, food production, or culinary roles with banquet or fine dining experience preferred Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively Expertise in menu planning, food safety, inventory control, and kitchen operations Excellent knowledge of food handling, catering, and hospitality standards Ability to manage shift schedules and oversee daily kitchen activities efficiently Skilled in food preparation techniques across various cuisines with an emphasis on pizza making Experience in supervising staff within the food service industry, including training new team members Familiarity with dietary requirements and managing special dietary needs within a restaurant setting Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and food quality control Knowledge of culinary trends, food industry best practices, and customer service excellence This role is ideal for a dedicated culinary professional looking to lead a vibrant kitchen environment while delivering exceptional dining experiences.
