Shift Leader

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Shift Leader to join our dynamic team in the food industry. The Shift Leader will play a crucial role in managing daily operations, ensuring exceptional service, and leading a team of culinary professionals. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage kitchen activities efficiently. Duties Oversee daily operations during assigned shifts, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Lead and motivate team members, providing guidance and support to foster a positive work environment. Assist in interviewing and training new staff members, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities. Manage kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain high culinary standards. Monitor inventory levels and assist with budgeting to ensure cost-effective operations. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance guest satisfaction. Collaborate with the Assistant Manager to implement operational policies and procedures. Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations. Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent hospitality skills with a focus on customer service excellence. Knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with budgeting processes and inventory management is an asset. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
