Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of Team Members in maintaining the quality of service and product. This position enforces all procedures in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager. The Shift Supervisor will fulfill any other duties the Store Manager or Assistant Manager assigns and will represent the company in a professional manner Essential Job Functions; include but not limited to: Assist in supervising a profitable store and creating sales volume growth Assist Store Manager and Assistant Manager in planning and executing all sales promotions effectively and efficiently Responds pro-actively to prevent and resolve customer service situations Answer email and telephone call in a courteous and friendly manner including but not limited to giving store greeting, directions to store location, receiving and filling customer orders Responsible for ordering coffee, bakes goods and supplies when needed Maintain efficient, friendly service standards Store Operations Maintain acceptable amounts of products, baked goods and supplies for orders Distributes weekly shipments appropriately Completes Daily Reports as assigned Performs opening and closing duties Reports potential safety hazards and all employee accidents to Store Manager or Assistant Manager and completes personnel forms when necessary Informs the Store Manager or Assistant Manager of any operational inconsistencies Employee Development Perpetuates company philosophy and culture Delegate duties as necessary Assist in the training of new employees Motivate staff to maintain quality and consistent product Assists Store Manager and Assistant Manager in educating staff members on all products and services Product Knowledge Ensure that all customers are educated on our products and services Consistently maintain the highest quality product standards Follow all company drink recipes and procedures Oversee drink making and participates in the re-certification process, monthly under management discretion Visual Presentation Assist in maintaining a clean, well-merchandised store Assist in following visual presentation plans and standards Maintains positive company morale Maintains store as if the Store Manager and/or Assistant Manager were present
Qualifications:
Excellent Verbal and written skills. Well organized and detail oriented. Register and cash handling experience. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Work overtime, as needed, to perform duties and responsibilities. Work nights, weekends and holidays. Minimum one-year retail experience. Physical Requirements:
Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. In some instances, the entire shift Intermittent periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Able to lift at least but not limited to 50 pounds and if more must be with assistance Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print) Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects) Ability to move quickly turning from left to right or right to left Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping Ability to be mobile in walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40° F to -10°
F Education and Required Experience:
