Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Cahier/Order Taker to join our vibrant food service team. In this role, you will be the friendly face that welcomes customers, accurately takes and processes their orders, and ensures a smooth flow of transactions. Your enthusiasm and efficiency will help create a positive dining or shopping experience, whether in a quick service restaurant, café, or retail food environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food handling, POS systems, and customer service while contributing to a lively and fast-paced setting. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders in person or via POS systems such as POS Accurately take food and beverage orders, ensuring all special requests are noted and communicated to the kitchen or food prep team. Handle retail sales transactions efficiently, including POS system operation. Upsell menu items or products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety management practices. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff to ensure timely service. Manage food safety protocols during food handling and serving to ensure compliance with health regulations. Support the team during busy periods by managing multiple tasks such as cashiering, serving, or food prep with excellent time management skills. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming environment. Experience- No experience needed Prefered Previous experience in food service, quick service & fast food restaurant environments, or retail sales transactions is highly preferred. Familiarity with POS systems Experience in cashiering, serving, or food handling demonstrates readiness for this role. Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry is essential. Background in culinary arts or café operations can be beneficial but is not required. Proven ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods while maintaining quality customer interactions.
