Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
As a Frontline Crew member, you are responsible for performing the tasks as set out by your Manager or Supervisor.
These duties include:
quickly & efficiently prepare and serve New York Fries in accordance with operational standards while providing the highest level of customer care. Always with a smile, you are an outgoing and enthusiastic ambassador of the New York Fries brand.
RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES:
Ability to demonstrate a sense of customer awareness: Able to Anchor the customer lines. Able to sample the fries and associated products to potential customers. Able to suggestively sell and the up-selling of New York Fries products to customers. Continuously promoting New York Fries and its products.
Handling customer service transactions:
Serving the product to the customer. Knowledgeable on all NYF's products, including ingredients/alergines, that are served. Able to answer any customer inquiry/complaint in a polite and professional manner.
Cash Handling:
Follow all New York Fries cash handling and cash register procedures. Able to operate our POS system. Preparation of food items for cooking and service to the customer: Possesses a thorough understanding of the storage, preparation and serving of all NYF's products. Ensuring all equipment is set at the correct temperature as per NYF's policies and procedures. Ensuring the maintenance and cleanliness of the Store and all equipment: Cleaning and maintaining all equipment, smallwares and counters/floors/walls.. Help to put away product deliveries in a safe and timely fashion. Assist Store Manager/Supervisor to ensure sufficient stock levels of necessary products are in place for the current and upcoming shift. Adhering to all policies and regulations contained within the New York Fries Orientation Guide and DVDs as well as NYF's safety procedures and Health Department policies & procedures. Ability to conduct Store Opening and Closing duties including daily/weekly paperwork as assigned by your supervisor.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Generally most New York Fries locations are within the food courts of major malls. Store locations tend to be tight and warm due to heat produced by the fryers; floors can have water and oil on them if not regularly maintained. Working with hot oil, gravy, cheese sauce and other toppings continuously. Regular heavy lifting is required, up to and including 50-pound boxes.
SPECIFICATIONS
Knowledge:
Incumbents should have some high school education.
Skill:
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and written in English. Possess a positive Customer Service (show biz) focused attitude. Possess a people friendly, outgoing, polite and helpful disposition. Possess a professional appearance and attitude.
Ability:
Able to work in a fast paced, physically demanding environment. Able to be flexible to the demands of such an operation.
Experience:
No prior foodservice or retail experience required for success in the position.
