Flexible Work Schedules Remitted Tuition Professional Development Competitive Pay and Work Life Benefits Professional Supervision and Coaching Recognition and Appreciation Programs Opportunities for Growth and Promotion Responsibilities As the Overnight Shift Leader your primary responsibilities include supervising and supporting staff while adhering to shelter policies and procedures. The position entails serving as the main point of contact for staff regarding scheduling concerns, overseeing the shift schedule, including managing staff time off, handling unexpected absences, addressing lateness, and coordinating alternate staff to ensure adequate shift coverage. Additionally, monitoring and evaluating staff performance, handling conflicts following program guidelines, and responding to client and shelter emergencies in a timely manner are essential duties. Maintaining a clean and safe environment, updating the Nightly Shelter Log, and facilitating communication with other shift supervisors and the Program Manager are also key responsibilities. Finally, this role involves serving as a professional role model for both staff and participants in the program.

$20.00/ Hour Qualifications Qualifications for this role include: Education and/or Experience Required at
Entry:
H.S. Diploma/G.E.D. with three (3) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Experience working with a specific population is preferred.
Licenses/Certificate/Clearances :
Valid N.Y.S. Driver's License N.Y.S. Child Abuse Registry clearance. Key skills and abilities for this position consist of: Customer service skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Working conditions and physical demands encompass: Mobility sufficient to drive to and participate in meetings at client's homes and/or community facilities, including those that may not meet Federal accessibility standards for disabled individuals. Manual dexterity sufficient to work with children/adults in a challenging and active environment. Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
