Location:
Cincinnati, Ohio Position Overview Gather is seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Kitchen Lead to help oversee daily kitchen operations and support our growing catering business. This role is hands on and ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced kitchen environment, takes pride in consistency and cleanliness, and is passionate about hospitality and food quality. The Kitchen Lead will be responsible for kitchen prep, recipe execution, inventory management, sanitation standards, and assisting with daily catering production. This position will also support off site catering events, replenishment services, and occasional pop up events as needed. Key Responsibilities Kitchen Operations & Food Production Prepare and execute recipes accurately and consistently to company specifications Complete daily prep lists and ensure production timelines are met Assist with cooking, packaging, and assembling catering orders Maintain quality, consistency, and presentation standards across all menu items Support efficient kitchen workflow and organization during production Catering Execution Assist with overseeing daily catering order production Ensure catering orders are accurate, complete, and executed on time Help coordinate packaging, labeling, transport readiness, and order organization Support replenishment and full-service catering events when needed Assist with pop-up events and special event production as needed Inventory & Organization Monitor inventory levels and communicate ordering needs Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries Maintain proper product rotation and storage procedures (FIFO) Keep kitchen equipment, prep areas, dry storage, refrigeration, and workspaces organized and clean Sanitation & Food Safety Follow all health department regulations and food safety standards Manage and maintain proper food handling, storage, cleaning, and sanitizing procedures Ensure cleanliness of kitchen equipment, prep stations, and common areas Help maintain a safe and professional kitchen environment at all times Qualifications Previous kitchen, catering, or food service leadership experience preferred Strong understanding of kitchen prep, cooking techniques, and food safety practices Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast paced environment Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude ServeSafe certification is preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire Required Skills & Requirements Familiarity with Google Docs and Gmail Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to stand for extended periods of time Availability for occasional evenings, weekends, and event based schedules as needed Preferred Qualifications Catering or event production experience Experience with inventory management and ordering ServSafe certification or food safety certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who takes ownership, works with urgency, communicates well, and genuinely cares about quality and hospitality.
