Summary of Position:
We are looking for a 3RD
SHIFT LEAD
who can oversee the grilling station in a kitchen, ensuring all grilled items are prepared to the highest quality standard, maintaining proper food safety practices, and managing a team of grill cooks while adhering to established recipes and cooking times. 3rd Shift Lead's responsibilities include preparing ingredients, monitoring grill temperatures, assisting in delegating tasks, and ensuring timely food delivery to the customers, all while maintaining a clean and organized workstation. To be successful, our Lead Cook will be a skilled multitasker who adheres to food safety codes and keeps our customers' satisfaction at the forefront of their minds.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain knowledge of all menu options to answer customer questions Train grill cooks, ensuring they follow proper techniques and food safety guidelines Address any issues or concerns raised by grill cooks regarding food quality or station operations Expertly prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment according to Corporate Dining's standardized recipes Prepare visibly appealing meals; preparing all items in a timely manner; delivering hot and fresh meals Safely and effectively use, operate, and read all necessary tools and equipment, including knives and thermometers Oversee closing duties by making sure checklists are completed, turning off all equipment, assuring all food is being stored and labeled properly, and ensuring any and all closing duties are fulfilled. Prepare food for following days service. Maintain menu item counts and communicate to Management and service staff when quantities fall below Corporate Dining specific minimum quantity Complete kitchen tasks such as line setup, food preparation, cleanup and breakdown Properly clean and maintain grill equipment to prevent cross-contamination and ensure functionality. Communicate any food delays or report any issues with equipment to your manager or shift lead Provide positive customer service and handle customer complaints when needed Monitor grill station inventory levels of ingredients and ensure timely restocking Communicate stock needs to the kitchen manager to maintain adequate supplies Maintains high standards of personal grooming. Washes hands frequently. Wears gloves to prevent bare hand contact. Maintain exceptional customer service with clients and guests Oversee and assist with cleaning tasks Provide support across any scheduled shift as needed Accurately account for all items coming out of the station Understand and follow the food allergy procedure and special orders/restrictions. Understand and maintain our clients' standards within their kitchen/building Help with other tasks as needed in order to assist the team and create a smooth service Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the US.
