Job Description

Cooper Farms is a family-owned farm and food company based in Northwest Ohio for 85 years. Our Fort Recovery Egg Division in Mercer County, Ohio, provides quality table and liquid eggs to consumers near and far. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Quality Assurance Lead to join our Spring Meadow Farms team in Rossburg.
SHIFT HOURS
Monday through Friday 6:00am-2:30pm
STARTING HOURLY RATE
$19.90-$23.45 (dependent upon experience) with a potential increase after 90 days.
ADDITIONAL PAY
Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance) All training will be provided.
Job functions include:
Overseeing the quality department and ensuring that all products are being processed according to the company HACCP plan for Safety and wholesomeness and meets quality specifications of the customer and/or non-USDA guidelines. Ensuring established quality policies and procedures are being followed in accordance with corporate guidelines Reducing food safety risks by ensuring that eggs are stored and processed according to the requirements of the HACCP Plan and the SQF system. Responsible for documentation requirements related to compliance with egg processing plants' food safety and quality systems. Implementing controls when processes or products do not meet customer specifications or USDA requirements. Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma. Must have reading, writing and basic computer stills as well as strong verbal and written communication stills. Two years of quality experience or experience in an egg processing facility is highly preferred. Must be willing to obtain training for SQT Systems for Food Safety and Quality.
