Job Description

Are you a hospitality professional who enjoys leading teams and delivering outstanding guest experiences? As a Front Office Shift Supervisor, you'll play a key role in overseeing front desk operations, supporting staff development, and ensuring every guest receives exceptional service. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 1 year of guest and hotel experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of phone systems and hotel property management systems. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work may be performed in a variety of settings, including climate-controlled office settings and casino floors which includes exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise. Work will require varied shifts including, weekends and holidays, as needed. Work requires lifting objects up to 50lbs and standing for long periods of time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following: Prepares daily reports for management. Prepares work schedule for front desk, bell and concierge. Records and documents employee attendance and performance. Supervises and trains agents within front desk, bell, concierge and call routing. Ensures department has necessary equipment for daily operations. Assists in guest check in and out, makes reservations, and answers incoming calls. Ensures each guest receives exceptional guest service and resolves guest complaints or disputes. Communicates with housekeeping on a regular basis regarding room status. Communicates, cooperates and coordinates with co-workers and managers in the Hotel Department and all other departments. Processes accurate cash and credit card transactions. Promotes the hotel/casino and all its services and facilities while maximizing occupancy and ADR. Processes daily reports, reconciliations, journals, etc. and accurately and in a timely manner reports any problems or discrepancies immediately to the Front Office Manager or Hotel Manager. Assures safety and security of all guests, customers and co-workers as well as protecting company assets. Assists in the preparation of commissions for OTA and Travel Agents. Checks in Busses, Groups, ensures keys are made and payment is collected. Assists in preparing weekly schedule Ensures on-going training of Front Office Staff based on established policies and procedures Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY
Supervise/manage a department and provide input towards hiring/firing/performance decision.
