Job Description

The Tulpehocken Area School District is seeking a Coordinator of Food Services to serve as a key support staff member within the District's food service program. Working collaboratively with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Cafeteria Managers, the Coordinator will coordinate and manage the District's school nutrition program, ensuring students receive nutritious, high-quality meals while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. The successful candidate will oversee menu planning, purchasing, inventory management, food safety, state and federal reporting, and staff training while promoting fresh food preparation, local food sourcing, and from scratch cooking throughout the District's cafeterias.
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Qualifications:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in school food service, institutional food service, restaurant management, or a related field. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, nutrition, and USDA school nutrition requirements. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Proficiency with computer applications and food service management software. Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff, students, vendors, and community partners. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree in Food Service Management, Nutrition, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a related field. ServSafe Manager Certification or the ability to obtain certification. Experience with menu planning, purchasing, inventory management, and federal reimbursement programs. Experience promoting local food procurement and from scratch-cooking initiatives. Position Information Full-time, 195 day support professional staff position. Salary and benefits in accordance with Board-approved compensation plans and District policies.
Rate:
$30/hr
