Job Description

RDNC is hiring a Director of Dining Services to oversee food service operations within a healthcare setting. This leadership role is ideal for a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) with experience managing dietary teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality dining services to residents. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities with daily operations.

Benefits:
Available through RDNC Responsibilities Supervise and lead dietary staff to ensure quality food service and resident satisfaction Manage daily kitchen and dining operations, including staffing, scheduling, and payroll Ensure compliance with state regulations and facility policies (DOH/DPW) Order food and supplies; manage inventory and departmental budget Maintain required documentation (HACCP logs, temperature logs, cleaning schedules, etc.) Utilize and maintain Matrix Nutrition Management system (tray tickets, menus, preferences) Collaborate with Registered Dietitians and interdisciplinary teams Conduct resident meal rounds and assess dietary preferences Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations of staff Coordinate special events, menus, and catering functions Assist in kitchen operations as needed, including cooking and service Ensure proper infection control and food safety practices Qualifications Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification required Experience in long-term care, healthcare, or senior living preferred Knowledge of food safety, regulatory compliance, and dietary operations Experience with dietary software systems (Matrix preferred) Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexible, hands-on approach to managing operations About
