Overview Join our dynamic team as a Counter Staff member, where you'll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with menu selections or product inquiries Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and efficient service Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change and totals Prepare and serve food items according to safety and sanitation standards, including food handling and bussing duties Upsell additional menu items or products to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, food prep stations, and dining space by following sanitation protocols Support food preparation tasks when needed, ensuring timely delivery of quality products in a quick service environment Skills Proven experience in food service or retail environments, especially within quick service or fast food restaurants Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining accuracy in cashiering and order fulfillment Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and inventory management Experience with food preparation, serving, bussing, or kitchen operations is highly desirable Capable of working collaboratively in a team-oriented setting within a café or grocery store environment This role offers an engaging work environment where your enthusiasm and dedication will directly contribute to memorable customer experiences.
