Job Overview Shift Leads needed for Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii (Beach Donkey LLC). We are looking for long term permanent shift leads to join our team. We are looking for mature, responsible adults who wish to make this their only job, who enjoy working hard and will give maximum effort every day. Full Time 30 - 40 hours a week. Must be available any day of the week and any shift including Saturday and Sunday. Morning shifts start at 5:30 a.m., closing shifts end around 7 p.m. Must be able to work 5 days a week. Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii is an emerging coffee franchise with locations across the United States. We are searching for two Shift Leads for our Surfside beach location. We are seeking passionate and dedicated people to join our Ohana (family). Established in 1989, Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii takes pride in sharing and bringing the Aloha Spirit to the Grand Strand. Our premium coffee comes from using the best beans and the right roasting formula that brings out peak flavor. We handcraft each cup with care. Join us in sharing our aloha spirit! This is a locally owned store. The ideal candidate will be well rounded with the ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced café environment, while maintaining cleanliness and performing other required operational tasks. We are looking for a mature individual who wants to take responsibility and who can be depended upon. Responsibilities The primary goal is to execute the daily required tasks to ensure a well run shift and clean environment. Creates the Aloha spirit with every customer interaction. Ensures all guests leave happy. Provides leadership to the team to consistently meet standards of superior customer service. Provide consistent leadership, contributing to a culture of excitement, enthusiasm, positive mental attitude, and commitment to the company and objectives. Maintains cleanliness and compliance with food safety and handling regulations. Assists profitability through waste reduction, superior customer service, proper and timely stocking of products. Represents Bad Ass in a professional and positive manner at all times. Communicates effectively to General Manager and Owners. Must be able to perform all Barista skills and will fulfill a position on the line during each shift. Have a good working knowledge of all equipment and how to manage through unexpected equipment issues. Supports all marketing and promotion initiatives and executes promotions at a high level. Requirements Must have 3 years of consecutive previous food retail experience. Must love customers and must love the social experience of customer service. Must be a servant leader, A servant leader is someone who prioritizes serving others, focusing on the growth, well-being, and empowerment of their team and community. Familiarity with POS systems; experience with Toast is a plus. Food Handler Certification is required (can be obtained after being hired). Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to work 8 hour shifts, and must be flexible to work any shifts, any day, any time. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within and lead a team.
