Kitchen Coordinators Are you organized, dependable, and passionate about serving others? Join our mission-driven team and play a vital role in providing meals to individuals and families in need. We are currently seeking a Morning Kitchen Coordinator to lead volunteers and ensure smooth kitchen operations at both our Main and West locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate with the Food Service Manager to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation and service at both the Main and West locations. Oversee storage and inventory , including putting away supplies, accurately documenting donations, and maintaining proper storage procedures. Follow standardized menus and recipes to ensure consistency and quality in every meal served. Lead and support volunteers with professionalism and warmth in all aspects of meal preparation, dishwashing, equipment use, serving, and cleanup. Manage time effectively to ensure meals are prepared and ready for service at scheduled times. Guide volunteers during service , ensuring appropriate portioning so every guest receives a full and balanced meal. Ensure adherence to all food safety and handling protocols , including preparation, serving, and storage standards. Oversee kitchen and dining area cleanliness , including supervising volunteers in tasks such as cleaning equipment, sweeping and mopping, dishwashing, and laundry. Maintain a clean and organized workspace at the end of each shift, including proper breakdown and sanitation of equipment, countertops, and utensils to keep the kitchen ready for the next meal. West location staff may also conduct volunteer orientation, assist with dining room service, help guests carry trays, pour beverages, gather and count meal tokens, and ensure smooth dining room operations. Report supply needs or equipment issues to the Food Service Manager in a timely manner. This position offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference every day.
