In person Shift leader A Shift Leader at Firehouse Subs is responsible for supervising staff, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Supervision and Leadership :

The Shift Leader supervises team members during their shifts, monitoring performance and ensuring adherence to company and safety policies. They delegate tasks appropriately to maintain operational efficiency. 2

Operational Accountability :

This position is fully accountable for the profitable operation of the shift, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards. 1

Customer Service :

Shift Leaders are responsible for delivering superior guest service and maintaining the restaurant's reputation for quality and cleanliness. They actively engage with customers to ensure satisfaction. 1

Training and Development :

A significant aspect of the role involves training new employees and providing ongoing support to existing staff to ensure they meet performance standards. 1

Financial Management :

The Shift Leader helps manage food costs, labor, and other controllable expenses to ensure profitability during their shifts. They assist in implementing operational plans and company initiatives. 1

Communication :

Effective communication with the General Manager and team members is essential to address any issues that may impact business operations. 1 2 Sources Qualifications Previous experience in a supervisory role within the food service industry is often preferred.
