$16-$18 per hour plus gratuity Position Summary The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel's Bistro and food and beverage areas while also actively working Bistro shifts as part of the team. This position ensures excellent guest service, maintains cleanliness and food safety standards, manages ordering and inventory, and supports the food and beverage staff by leading through example in both supervisory and hands-on operational responsibilities. The Food & Beverage Supervisor will regularly prepare and serve food and beverages, interact with guests, perform opening and closing Bistro duties, and oversee catering services for the hotel's meeting and event spaces while maintaining Courtyard by Marriott brand standards. Essential Job Functions Bistro Operations & Guest Service Work scheduled Bistro shifts and perform all Bistro associate duties as needed. Prepare, cook, and serve menu items in accordance with Courtyard by Marriott and food safety standards. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffee drinks, as applicable. Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner and provide excellent customer service at all times. Operate the point-of-sale system, handle cash and credit card transactions, and balance receipts as needed. Ensure smooth Bistro opening and closing procedures each day. Assist guests with menu questions, special requests, and resolve service concerns promptly and professionally. Maintain a clean, stocked, organized, and guest-ready Bistro at all times. Catering & Meeting Space Food Service Coordinate and oversee catering services for hotel meeting rooms and event spaces. Prepare, set up, deliver, refresh, and break down food and beverage service for meetings, events, and group functions. Communicate with hotel leadership and sales staff regarding catering orders, meeting room needs, and event timelines. Ensure meeting space catering is presented professionally, delivered on time, and meets guest expectations. Monitor banquet and catering inventory, supplies, and setup needs for group functions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of meeting space food and beverage setups before, during, and after events. Supervision & Daily Operations Oversee the daily operation of the Bistro, market, and additional food and beverage service areas. Supervise food and beverage associates and provide direction during shifts. Ensure all team members follow service standards, food safety procedures, appearance standards, and Marriott brand expectations. Support staffing needs by filling in where needed and maintaining efficient service during busy periods. Assist with scheduling, training, coaching, and performance accountability for Bistro staff. Lead by example by working alongside the team and maintaining a positive, professional attitude. Inventory, Ordering & Cost Control Monitor inventory levels for food, beverages, paper goods, catering supplies, and cleaning products. Place orders for food, beverage, catering, and operating supplies as needed. Receive deliveries, verify accuracy, inspect product quality, and ensure items are stored properly. Conduct inventory counts and monitor usage, waste, and spoilage to help control costs. Ensure proper rotation, labeling, dating, and storage of all food and beverage products. Cleanliness, Sanitation & Compliance Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Bistro, kitchen, prep areas, coolers, storage rooms, meeting space setups, and dining areas. Ensure all food and beverage areas meet Marriott cleanliness standards and local health department requirements. Monitor proper food handling, sanitation, temperature logs, and safe storage practices. Ensure equipment is cleaned and maintained properly and report maintenance issues promptly. Administrative & Operational Support Complete daily checklists, temperature logs, inventory records, catering orders, and other required documentation. Assist in monitoring food and beverage revenue, labor, and operating expenses. Support guest satisfaction goals by ensuring a quality food and beverage and catering experience. Perform other duties as assigned to support the operation of the hotel and Bistro. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous food and beverage, restaurant, hotel Bistro, banquet, or catering experience preferred. Supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and inventory practices. Ability to prepare food, serve guests, and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication, organization, and guest service skills. Must be able to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying up to 25-50 pounds. Ability to transport catering items, food trays, and supplies to meeting spaces as needed. Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen and service environment.

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
