A passion project by Onyx Coffee Lab, The Preserve explores food, beverage, and hospitality from an exploration of shared ground. From high end ingredients to locally produced goods featuring Onyx Coffee, Providers, an expansive menu of natural wines, and local eggs and produce in the market, The Preserve is a growing concept proving itself in the food and beverage industry in the South. The Preserve is looking for additional managers to help oversee front and back of house operations and staffing, hire and train team members, assist in creating schedules, coaching the team, to help in the creation of menus, help host and execute events. Optimization of profit and loss statements, inventory management, labor percentages, merchandising, and input on culinary and beverage programs are required. Hospitality Programs A Manager will lead, organize, direct, and oversee hospitality programs such as coffee service, brunch service, dinner service, and bar programs. These programs are intended to be intentional, curated service experiences where guests can encounter incredible food and beverage programs that are meaningful and encourage community and relationship shared over a common table. The Preserve Team A Manager at The Preserve assist in on site training, must have the ability to give consistent feedback, and review schedule for all team members in conjunction with their direct manager. They will also assist in hiring and recruiting talent for all the hospitality programs. Additionally, cultivating and leading a leadership team of shift leads and bar managers is integral to the front of house team at The Preserve. Ordering, Inventory, Maintenance, Operations This position will require skill and advanced experience with inventory of supplies, ordering and forecasting of supplies needed, in depth operations experience including but not limited to scheduling, events, ticketed dinners, wine and food tastings, and catered events. The Preserve has different programs that occur across different times and spaces inside the restaurant. A flexible, thoughtful, organize approach to smoothly transitioning between programs is vital. Growth of The Preserve The management team will oversee and analyze the performance of the restaurant in sales, labor percentage, growth curves, and profitability. Introduction of sales techniques as well as ideas for new programs will be expected. Duties Oversee all aspects of daily resort operations, including guest services, event management, and staff supervision Lead and motivate a diverse team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure exceptional service delivery Manage shift schedules, coordinate staff assignments, and ensure smooth operational flow during peak times Supervise event planning and execution, ensuring all details align with client expectations and company standards Handle guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction Maintain safety protocols, conduct regular inspections, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Experience Proven management experience in hospitality, resort settings, or restaurant environments with a focus on team leadership and customer service excellence Demonstrated experience in events management from planning through execution Supervising experience with a track record of motivating teams and managing staff effectively Strong report writing skills for operational documentation and incident reports Technical proficiency with reservation systems, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and other relevant software tools Previous assistant manager or supervisory roles in hospitality or resort environments are highly desirable Excellent communication skills combined with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences This role is perfect for energetic leaders eager to make a positive impact in a vibrant hospitality setting.
