This role supports Grocery leadership by maintaining in-stock conditions, minimizing shrink, and delivering a clean, organized, and customer-ready department. Key Responsibilities Department Operations & Execution Oversee daily frozen department operations, including stocking, rotation, merchandising, and freezer organization Ensure all frozen products meet company standards for quality, condition, and presentation Maintain proper rotation (FIFO), dating, and temperature control for all inventory Execute planograms, promotional displays, and seasonal resets Ensure cases are fully stocked, faced, and maintained throughout the day Leadership & Team Support Supervise, train, and coach frozen food clerks and stockers Provide direction during shifts to ensure productivity and execution standards are met Support scheduling and labor planning based on delivery schedules and business needs Promote a safe, efficient, and team-oriented work environment Inventory & Replenishment Manage ordering, replenishment, and backstock organization Receive deliveries and ensure proper handling of frozen product Monitor and control shrink through accurate ordering, rotation, and storage practices Partner with Grocery leadership and vendors to maintain optimal inventory levels Food Safety & Compliance Ensure strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and temperature control standards Monitor freezer temperatures and ensure compliance with all health regulations Maintain cleanliness of freezers, cases, and backroom storage areas Ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements Customer Service Ensure a well-stocked, easy-to-shop frozen department Assist customers with product location and questions Support resolution of customer concerns in a timely and professional manner Qualifications Previous grocery or perishable department experience preferred Leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong understanding of stocking, merchandising, and inventory control Knowledge of food safety and temperature control standards Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment Flexible availability including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs Repetitive stocking and product handling tasks Ability to work in freezer conditions for extended periods
Pay Transparency:
Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range. Dependent on length of service, hours worked, any applicable collective bargaining agreement and/or Company policy, benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay
