Late Night Shift Lead Plomo Quesadillas Dallas, TX Job Details Full-time From $18 an hour 16 hours ago Benefits 401(k) On-the-job training 401(k) matching Employee discount Qualifications Customer communication Food Handler Certification Full Job Description The Shift Lead at PLOMO Quesadillas is a hands-on leadership role responsible for directing daily operations, supervising floor staff, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience during assigned shifts. Acting as the bridge between team members and upper management, the Shift Lead maintains high standards for food quality, speed of service, safety, and hospitality in a fast-paced environment. This role requires sharp problem-solving skills, strong communication, and a passion for teamwork. ​ Key Responsibilities ​
Operational Excellence:
Oversee the opening, mid-day, or closing procedures of the restaurant. Ensure the kitchen and service areas are fully stocked, clean, and operating efficiently. ​
Team Leadership & Coaching:
Direct, motivate, and assign tasks to team members during the shift. Provide real-time feedback, assist with on-the-job training, and ensure a positive, high-energy work culture. ​
Guest Experience:
Maintain premium service standards by interacting with guests, handling customer inquiries or complaints swiftly, and ensuring every order meets PLOMO's quality benchmarks. ​
Financial & Cash Handling:
Manage the cash drawer, execute safe drops, verify shift registers, and ensure accurate financial reporting at the end of the night. ​
Food Safety & Compliance:
Enforce strict health, sanitation, and safety guidelines. Monitor food handling practices, temperature logs, and inventory waste control. ​
Problem Solving:
Act as the first point of contact for shift-level issues, including staff call-outs, inventory shortages, or equipment maintenance needs. ​ Qualifications & Skills ​
Experience:
1+ years of experience in a team lead, supervisory, or key-holder role within the food service, fast-casual, or hospitality industry. ​
Certifications:
Valid Food Handler certification required (Food Manager certification is a plus). ​
Communication:
Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills to manage both back-of-house and front-of-house dynamics effectively. ​
Availability:
Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and peak holiday hours. ​
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly in a fast-paced environment, and lift up to 40 lbs.
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
