Position Summary - A Day in the Life The Team Lead is a key shift-level role responsible for modeling Donatos standards and supporting the execution of Quality and Service systems in the restaurant. Team Leads set the pace on the line, reinforce training with hourly Associates, and serve as the Person in Charge during their shifts. Working under the direction of the Shift Manager, Assistant General Manager, or General Manager, the Team Lead ensures that every pizza out the door and every customer interaction reflects Donatos' Mission, Promise, and Values. Job Duties and Responsibilities Serves as Person in Charge during assigned shifts, maintaining Donatos food safety and quality standards. Models all elements of Donatos Service Behaviors and sets the tone for the shift. Interacts with and listens to customers attentively and enthusiastically. Anticipates the needs of the customers at all access points and helps remove existing or potential service barriers. Displays caring and empathy for customers and follows correct steps when resolving complaints, escalating to management when appropriate. Ensures customers receive their orders accurately and within the quoted promise times. Contributes to team morale by displaying enthusiasm and commitment by word and action. Completes pre/post-shift checklists, game plans, and dough plans accurately and on time. Uses learning tools (E-Learning Courses, On the Job Training, Training Charts, Operations Manual, Associate Handbook, Peers, and Manager) to train and reinforce Associates on Donatos standards. Controls food cost components of waste, prep, weights, portioning, and theft during shifts. Demonstrates and trains operating norms, including uniform policy, attendance, safety procedures, and cleanliness. Understands and follows the food safety and personal hygiene standards required by Donatos and the local Health Department. Knows and follows correct cash control procedures. Sets up registers and cash for opening shifts. Takes inventory of all stocked items and assists with invoice processing. Uses proper security and verification procedures when handling deposits and safe contents. Completes drawer and driver checkouts accurately. Follows proper dough and day dots procedures to ensure quality. Fills out build-to reports to support accurate prep levels. Completes closing procedures and paperwork to Donatos standards. Minimum Requirements Education Basic Math and Reading Skills necessary Person in Charge Food Protection Certification (Texas) Physical Requirements Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position safely while meeting productivity standards Able to stand and/or walk entire shift Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally Occasional bending and twisting Work Experience Previous restaurant experience preferred Demonstrated proficiency on the Donatos Team Lead Checklist Working knowledge of all front- and back-of-house stations Donatos is an Equal Opportunity /
