Job Description

Team Leader
  • Paint/Form/Assembly If you've ever wondered what owning your own business is like, just ask an Employee Owner of Chatsworth Products (CPI).
Better yet, become one! CPI has an immediate need for a Team Leader in CPI's Georgetown, Texas location. As a CPI Team Leader, you will occupy a key role in working with and for a company that builds the physical infrastructure that powers, protects and secures the world's digital technology. Day to day, you will, oversee a variety of operations and duties as assigned for the paint line/boot .Responsible for Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost in assigned production area. May assist in the transition of new products into manufacturing. Assists operators by answering questions and demonstrating operations. Spot checks products to ensure quality levels are maintained.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Optimize production build plan to meet order commit dates Oversees process and material flows, space management that will maximize utilization of space designated for assigned operation Sets daily priorities of production staff in assigned area Follows and enforces work rules and process documentations Oversees employee training Monitors quality of incoming raw material and finished product Performs other related duties as assigned by management Technical Competencies Able to read and understand blueprints and engineering specification Knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S principles Capable of using measuring devices to perform product inspection Demonstrated coaching and/or mentoring leadership style Ability to identify and prioritize issues with little supervision Self-motivated but comfortable seeking direction when appropriate Basic computer skills Ability to communicate effectively with Customer Service, Operations Management and Engineering organizations.
Qualifications Qualifications:
Frequent standing, walking, carrying, lifting, stooping, and crouching. Work with powder coat materials and cleaning chemicals. Ability to wear a respirator which is required PPE. Able to work extended hours and/or weekends as production schedule dictates. Lift up to 40 lbs.
