Job Description

Position Overview The Frozen Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the frozen foods department, ensuring product availability, quality, and presentation meet company standards. This role drives sales, manages inventory, and leads associates to deliver an excellent customer experience. Key Responsibilities Department Operations Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing frozen cases at all times Ensure proper product rotation, stocking, and date code integrity Monitor and maintain proper freezer temperatures and conditions Execute ad plans, seasonal sets, and promotional displays Inventory & Ordering Order frozen products to support sales while controlling shrink Maintain accurate inventory levels and backroom organization Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with period counts Identify slow-moving or out-of-stock items and take corrective action Customer Service Provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance to customers Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally Ensure department is clean, organized, and easy to shop Team Leadership Train, coach, and support frozen department associates Delegate tasks and ensure completion of daily workload Promote a safe, productive, and team-oriented work environment Safety & Compliance Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards Ensure compliance with company policies and health regulations Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area Qualifications Previous grocery or frozen department experience preferred Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work in cold environments for extended periods Effective communication and leadership abilities Basic math and computer skills for ordering and inventory Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching Ability to work in freezer conditions Work Environment Fast-paced retail environment Exposure to cold temperatures in freezer areas Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Success Measures In-stock conditions and reduced out-of-stocks Sales growth and shrink control Department cleanliness and organization Customer satisfaction and service levels Team productivity and engagement
