Playa Bowls is New Jerseys Original Acai Shop founded in 2014, and our mission is to serve the highest quality, innovative products to support healthier lifestyles and inspire a world of fun, excitement, and togetherness. At Playa Bowls, we live our brand in our actions and in the relationships that we make in our communities. Our focus is to provide a bowl full of deliciousness to every guest, delivered with authenticity and passion for the Playa way. What began as a pair of blenders, a patio table, and a fridge has flourished into a 300-unit operator and franchisor of the leading fast casual restaurant concept.

WHO YOU ARE

Youre a positive and enthusiastic people-person, who may just so happen to have a passion for fruit, superfoods, and all things healthy! As a Shift Leader, you are considered an extension of management and may be trusted with the shop during times in which the management is not present. Shift Leaders should be comfortable delegating tasks and should excel at doing such in a manner that prioritizes the needs of the shop. If you enjoy fast-paced environments, career growth, entrepreneurial thinking, innovation, and an occasional silly food pun, we want you!

WHAT YOULL

Proven ability to remain flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced dynamic environment, quickly adjusting to changing priorities and customers needs to maintain seamless operations.

Skilled at prioritizing multiple responsibilities simultaneously, such as managing team productivity and assisting with customer service. Clear and effective communication with team members, managers, and customers with the ability to delegate tasks and provide instructions concisely. Ability to stay composed and think quickly under pressure, handling disputes or challenges among team members or customers professionally and calmly Demonstrate empathy, understanding and active listening skills when addressing concerns or ideas towards team members and customers Ensuring adherence to food safety standards and operational protocols and monitoring team performance to ensure quality in product preparation and presentation

REQUIREMENTS

Must be available to work 5 shifts a week, minimum of 30 hours a weekMust be available weekends but expected to work as the business dictatesMust pass the required Managers Food Safety certification

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL

FUNCTIONSMust be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of timeMust be able to lift or otherwise move 25-40 pounds occasionallyMust be able to retrieve items from high and low shelving, the fridge/freezer, and under counters.
