In this vital role, you will oversee daily food preparation activities, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and coordinate meal planning to meet the dietary needs of our community. Your leadership will inspire a motivated team dedicated to excellence in food service and culinary craftsmanship. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact through efficient kitchen operations and innovative menu execution. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all food preparation activities within the prep kitchen, ensuring timely and accurate meal assembly Lead and motivate dietary aides and kitchen staff to uphold high standards of food handling, safety, and cleanliness Plan menus in collaboration with nutritionists or dietary specialists, incorporating dietary restrictions and preferences Oversee food inventory management, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste while maintaining quality standards Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation procedures, and proper knife skills for efficient meal prep Train team members on proper food handling techniques, cooking methods, and serving protocols Maintain detailed records of food production, safety inspections, and staff training sessions Experience Proven experience in dietary department settings or dietary aide roles within healthcare or institutional environments Strong background in menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and food service operations Extensive kitchen experience including food handling, meal preparation, and culinary skills such as knife proficiency Familiarity with restaurant or catering environments with a focus on food safety standards Knowledge of the food industry practices related to serving large quantities of meals efficiently and safely Prior experience managing a team in a culinary or kitchen setting preferred Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Join us as a Prep Kitchen Manager to lead with passion, foster teamwork, and deliver exceptional dining experiences.
