Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Assists the Dining Services Manager in supervising employees that prepare and serve food. Inspects the kitchen, dining area, and equipment to ensure sanitary standards are maintained. Trains employees. Assigns tasks to employees and prepares work schedules. Maintains records on amount and cost of meals, hours worked and may requisition food and supplies. Assists the Dining Services Manager in evaluating employee performance and may interview and recommend new employees. Supervises all employees in the absence of the Manager. Job qualifications include but are not limited to: Must be a high school graduate. Some college education is desirable. Two years satisfactory work experience in food service supervision. Requires frequent lifting (up to 50 pounds), bending, stooping, kneeling, etc. and weekend and evening work.
