Compensation:
salaried, $45,000 - $60,000, includes gratuities and adjusted based on experienceBenefits:

Killington/Pico Ski Resort hosts a variety of banquets such as quaint weddings for 25 people to extravagant weddings for 400, to conferences for 500+ attendees to feeding the hundreds of athletes and coaches for the FIS International Women's World Cup event! With banquets held in the Ballrooms of the Killington Grand Hotel to the Peak Lodge and everywhere in between, the Banquets team works closely with Events and Food and Beverage teams to execute first class events with unmatched attention to detail and guest service. The Banquet Supervisor oversees and supervises the daily operations of banquet functions executed by the Hotel Food & Beverage Department.Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Plan, assign, check, and evaluate work of banquet staff, including captains, set up, service, support and bar staff. Interview, hire and assist in training banquet staff. Allocate banquet service charges. Schedule staff Inspect and audit banquet facilities regularly. Confer regularly with Conference Sales Team and other supervisors and staff to plan, coordinate and evaluate services and activities, exchange information, resolve problems, and fulfil responsibilities. Participate in management, staff, and committee meetings. Plan and conduct staff meetings and training programs. Prepare and conduct staff performance reviews. Assure all set up, event, and closing tasks completed, including pre-event meetings and inspection with staff. Oversee equipment and physical plant cleanliness, organization and maintenance. Oversee and maintain adequate small wares, bar wares and table service items. Execute all forms of catered service, such as buffet, family style, plated, or flash. Assist Conference Sales Team in greeting, attending, and satisfying all event contact needs. Assure fulfillment of special requests and handle unusual problems or complaints. Perform cashier duties as needed. Take group requests and arrange for special set-ups for large or V.I.P. parties. Monitor and evaluate the quality of service and food. Assist with serving tables, bussing and bartending as needed. May also have seasonal responsibilities for oversight of various food & beverage outlets managed by Hotel F&B department, includingPreston's Restaurant and Ledgewood Yurt Basic Qualifications:
Basic education (high school), plus two to three years of relevant restaurant or other food service experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired. Good basic knowledge of catering and bar operations, including serving tables, hosting, bartending, and cashiering. Vermont Department of Liquor Control Certification required.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Good administrative and math skills; with supervisory and foodservice operations management experience desirable. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is necessary. Ability to deal with customers and staff in a courteous and efficient manner, including guests who are under the influence. Work schedule will vary to include days, nights, holidays, and weekends Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to lift to 40 lbs regularly.
