Order taker

Duties Greet customers warmly and take their food and beverage orders with precision and enthusiasm. Use POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders swiftly and accurately. Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities. Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change while maintaining cash handling accuracy. Ensure food safety standards are followed during order taking, food handling, and serving processes. Assist in food preparation tasks when necessary to support kitchen operations and maintain efficiency. Maintain cleanliness of the order station, dining area, and service counters, including bussing tables as needed. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without sacrificing quality or accuracy. Skills Proven experience in food service, quick service, or fast-food restaurant environments with a focus on customer interaction. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and transaction processing. Strong knowledge of food preparation, food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse guests. Basic math skills for cashiering, retail math calculations, and accurate cash handling. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in upselling techniques to enhance sales and improve guest experience.
