Kitchen & MarketShift Lead- Medina/BellevueThe Job:
The Store Shift Lead is the go-to person for keeping our store buzzing with activity! You'll oversee everything from creating amazing customer experiences to receiving, stocking, and ensuring our shelves are always filled with top-quality products. You're not just a leader--you're a coach and mentor, setting the standard for stellar customer engagement and helping the team shine. You'll also dive into merchandising and making sure every fresh delivery meets our high standards, as well as placing orders with our trusted vendors to keep things running smoothly.At Kitchen and Market, we're looking for friendly folks who are excited about good food. We offer competitive wages, great medical/dental insurance, universal PTO, in-store discounts, and an employee referral incentive program. We only hire folks that are 21+. The store is open 9am-7pm Mon-Sat and 10am-5pm on Sundays. You must be available nights and weekends, and comfortable working with inventory management software. Main job responsibilities: Providing excellent customer service by addressing customer needs in a prompt, friendly manner. Writing and receiving orders; stocking shelves and making things looks great.
Sampling products to customers. (We have delicious cookies!) Assisting with periodic inventory checks. Maximizing sales by following proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product. Performing mid-shift and closing duties as assigned.
Our stores are open 8am-8pm daily. You must be available to work nights and weekends.

Kitchen & Market, a woman-founded start-up, is a Seattle-based grocery chain that is chef-driven and primarily focused on bringing fresh products and meal kits to market. Kitchen & Market's goal is to provide customers with a curated grocery experience focused on fueling their inspirations within a beautiful retail space. We are delivering on our brand promise when customers begin to change how they feel about grocery shopping and meal planning. From browsing recipes in the store to unpacking meal kits at home, Kitchen & Market hopes to inspire every level of home cook. In 2023, Kitchen & Market was voted by readers of The Seattle Times as the Best Grocery Store in the Best in the Pacific Northwest contest.
Kitchen & Market opened its first store in 2021 at the iconic Pike Place Market. In 2022, we opened a store on Mercer Island and, in 2023, its third location opened in Medina. The Mercer Island location has closed due to major fire damage that occurred in December 2023. In 2024, K&M opened 3 new locations: Madison Valley, Yarrow Bay, and Eastlake.
