$25.00/hr Job Summary The Sanitation Lead is responsible for implementing and overseeing sanitation protocols in accordance with state health and safety regulations. This role involves conducting daily sanitation inspections, overseeing staff training, ensuring they are knowledgeable about sanitation protocols and procedures, and ensuring the manufacturing facility remains up to code and operates efficiently. The Sanitation Lead plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe working environment, contributing to the overall success of the organization by ensuring compliance and operational efficiency. Essential Job Functions Train sanitation workers and distribute work schedules. Handle, use, and monitor chemicals safely. Provide direct support for all sanitation issues. Maintain a clean and safe working environment throughout the plant. Communicate with management regarding concerns and issues. Perform final inspections of equipment and areas to ensure cleanliness and report any irregularities. Adhere to company standards and procedures. Implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulatory authorities. Complete all sanitation documentation accurately. Delegate work and follow up to ensure completion. Perform any other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Ability to communicate effectively with others. Ability to effectively present information in small group situations. At least 1 year of previous sanitation experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with USDA, OSHA, and HACCP regulations. Able to work in various climate conditions including extreme heat and cold environments, walking, standing, and sitting for long periods of time. Must be able to work overtime, weekends and/or holiday hours as required based on the production demand Preferred Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with testing equipment and procedures. Work Environment De The Sanitation Led works primarily indoors in a food processing plant, where maintaining cleanliness is essential. The role involves exposure to wet and humid conditions, as well as cleaning chemicals, necessitating the use of PPE such as gloves, eye protection, and waterproof gear. Technicians stand, walk, bend, and lift regularly, often requiring physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
