Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Restaurant Supervisor to lead our food service team in delivering outstanding customer experiences at48 Degrees North Restaurant located in the Red Lion Hotel! In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily restaurant operations, ensure food quality and safety standards are met, and motivate your team to excel. Your leadership will help create a lively atmosphere where guests feel valued and staff are inspired to perform at their best.
Essential Functions :
- Interview, hire, and supervise staff.
- Responsible for training all service staff in established food and beverage service standards.
- Schedule staff in accordance with business needs and management objectives.
- Conduct performance reviews and develop the skills of the staff to meet service and quality goals.
- Coach, counsel and discipline staff.
- Assign work duties and side work to employees, and follow up to ensure assigned duties are completed.
- Respond to, and resolve, customer issues and complaints.
- Assist with menu and beverage planning.
- Maximize profitability by constantly monitoring labor costs, food and beverage costs as well as departmental expenses.
- Perform all inventories, including wine, liquor, china, glassware and silverware.
- Control inventory and maintain adequate supplies.
- Be visible on the floor and assist staff as needed during each meal period.
- Organize daily pre-shift meetings as a communication tool between management and employees.
- Ensure sanitation and safety programs meet regulatory OSHA standards and best practices.
- Conduct self in a professional manner at all times.
- Maintain a safe working environment and immediately report all unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a good working relationship with all departments.
- Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the property Employee Handbook.
- Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Food & Beverage.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of progressive experience in high quality food and beverage operations. One year of management experience preferred.
- Possession of government required licenses or certificates.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfaction and excellent verbal communication and presentations skills.
- Computer proficient.
- Ability to:
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Work as part of a team.
- Communicate effectively.
- Receive and follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Work well under pressure.
Pay:
