  • Full-time Job Summary Sodexo is seeking an energetic and dedicated Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our Gonzaga University full-service restaurant The Bulldog .
In this role, you will lead a team of food service professionals and students, ensuring exceptional customer experiences while maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness. Your leadership will drive efficient service, foster a positive team environment, and uphold our commitment to hospitality excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop management skills within a dynamic food industry setting, supporting casual dining and catering experiences on campus. Responsibilities Supervise daily restaurant operations, including shift management and staff scheduling to ensure smooth service flow. Lead and motivate team members through effective training, coaching, and development initiatives to uphold service standards. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations and quality standards. Responsibly manage all alcohol processes, training and oversight of program. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste. Operate POS systems for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food production, catering events, and special dining services like banquets or coffee bar operations. Become efficient in supporting the culinary team as a backup for your team. Requirements Proven supervising experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment with strong leadership skills. Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety protocols. Experience with POS systems; cash handling proficiency required. Background in hospitality management or food service management preferred; experience in fine dining or casual dining settings is a plus. Ability to manage inventory control, budgeting, and staffing schedules effectively. Strong communication skills with experience in staff training, interviewing, and team management. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations; culinary or kitchen management experience is advantageous.
