Position Summary At Heidel House Hotel & Conference Center, hospitality is more than serving food—it's creating memorable experiences. As Restaurant supervisor, you will be the operational leader primarily responsible for the daily success of Waves Pub & Grill , while also developing proficiency in Oakwood Bar & Restaurant to provide leadership support across all dining operations. This is a highly visible leadership position focused on guest satisfaction, team development, operational excellence, and financial performance. You'll spend the majority of your time on the restaurant floor coaching employees, engaging guests, ensuring flawless execution, and creating an energetic, welcoming atmosphere. Working alongside the Beverage Manager and under the direction of the Restaurant Director and Assistant Restaurant Director, you'll help shape the culture of one of Wisconsin's premier destination resorts. Primary ResponsibilitiesRestaurant Leadership Lead the daily operations of Waves Pub & Grill while supporting Oakwood Restaurant operations as needed. Serve as the floor leader during lunch, dinner, weekends, holidays, and special events. Maintain an active presence throughout every shift by engaging guests and supporting employees. Ensure service standards, cleanliness, and hospitality expectations are consistently exceeded. Create an energetic, positive atmosphere that reflects the Heidel House brand. Make real-time operational decisions that improve service flow and guest satisfaction. Guest Experience Personally greet and interact with guests throughout each shift. Perform regular table touches to ensure exceptional service. Resolve guest concerns professionally, promptly, and confidently. Turn service recoveries into opportunities to build guest loyalty. Monitor online reviews and guest feedback with leadership to identify improvement opportunities. Help create memorable dining experiences that encourage repeat visits. Team Leadership & Development Lead, motivate, coach, and inspire front-of-house team members. Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training new employees. Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback. Hold employees accountable to Heidel House service standards. Conduct daily pre-shift meetings that educate, motivate, and prepare the team. Recognize outstanding performance and foster a culture of appreciation. Support employee growth through continuous development and cross-training. Operations Management Manage daily opening, shift change, and closing procedures. Ensure proper staffing levels throughout each shift. Assist with scheduling based on forecasted business levels. Monitor labor productivity and adjust staffing accordingly. Ensure proper cash handling and POS procedures. Maintain organization throughout dining rooms, patios, bars, host stands, and service stations. Ensure compliance with all health department regulations and sanitation standards. Verify completion of side work and cleaning responsibilities. Financial Performance Help drive restaurant sales and profitability. Monitor labor costs and staffing efficiency. Assist with inventory management and ordering. Support beverage and food cost control initiatives. Help reduce waste while maintaining exceptional guest experiences. Participate in menu rollouts, promotions, and seasonal initiatives. Collaboration Work closely with the Beverage Manager to ensure seamless bar and dining room operations. Partner with the culinary team to ensure timely food execution. Collaborate with Banquets, Front Office, Sales, and other departments to deliver outstanding resort experiences. Support hotel-wide events, holidays, weddings, and large group functions. Leadership Expectations Successful leaders at

Create a culture where people enjoy coming to work. QualificationsRequired High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 2 years of restaurant management or supervisory experience. Strong leadership and coaching abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Exceptional guest service mindset. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Experience using POS systems and Microsoft Office. Preferred Hotel, resort, or multi-outlet restaurant experience. Experience managing labor and inventory. Food safety certification (or ability to obtain). Wisconsin Beverage Operator License (or ability to obtain). Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently move throughout restaurant and hotel spaces. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, carry trays or supplies, and assist with restaurant setup when needed. Comfortable working evenings, weekends, holidays, and during high-volume periods. Why Join Heidel House?
