Food Service Assistant Job Summary:
Robin's Nest Cafe Food Service Assistant The position involves independently leading the daily operations of a small coffee shop, including preparing and serving beverages, operating the register, stocking, cleaning, and maintaining inventory levels. The role requires a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices to ensure a clean and welcoming environment. Excellent customer service skills are essential to create a friendly and positive experience for all patrons.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8am-2:30pm
Compensation:
Wage is $17.00 per hour +$.80 added for differential Weekend pay for work performed on Saturday and Sunday.. +2.50 added for differential night pay, for work performed between 6pm-6am.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Greets customers, answers questions, and provides basic information regarding food preparation and associated activities Cleans, inspects, and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas Assists and guides student workers Prepares a variety of basic dishes such as sandwiches and salads, and assists in the preparation of more complex dishes Adheres to federal, state, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures Performs routine food preparation activities such as portioning, chopping food, and serving food to customers
