Job Summary:
The Culinary Catering Lead plays a key role in the successful execution of offsite catering events. This position is hands-on, working both in the kitchen and onsite at events to ensure food preparation, timelines, and service standards are met. The Catering Lead will guide small teams during events, ensuring client satisfaction and seamless execution.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Lead and execute offsite catering events independently with minimal supervision. Assist with food preparation, cooking, and packaging in the kitchen as needed. Direct and support small culinary teams on and off site to meet timelines and deliver high-quality service. Consistently prepare menu items according to company standards. Follow Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure all client expectations are met. Collaborate with the Culinary Executive Chef and leadership team for tastings and menu presentations. Communicate product shortages to Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef(s). Communicate effectively with onsite supervisors, clients, and team members. Load, transport, and unload catering equipment and food for offsite events. Ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with food safety standards at all times. Ensure that offsite venue prep spaces are are clean and Noble equipment is packed up properly at the end of the event. Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Serv Safe Certification Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work independently and take initiative when leading events. Prior catering or culinary experience required. Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain standing and move actively throughout smaller back of the house spaces for the duration of a shift, typically 6-10 hours based on assigned events.
  • The role requires performing culinary-related movements repeatedly, such as walking, lifting, bending, and reaching.
  • Capacity to safely lift, transport, push, or pull items and equipment weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
  • Maintain balance and control while carrying catering equipment.
  • Work effectively in busy, high-traffic areas, maintaining awareness of surroundings.
  • Work in varied settings (indoor/outdoor), enduring temperature/weather/noise fluctuations.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
