Kitchen Lead

Northwood School District N14463 Hwy. 53 Minong, Wisconsin 54859 715-466-2297 www.northwoodk12wi.com Kitchen Lead The Northwood School District is seeking a full-time committed and service-oriented Kitchen Lead to work in the food service department. This position will work directly with the food service department team under the direction of the Food Service Manager. This person will help oversee the daily operations of the department within the district's single building and site. The District currently has a mix of full-time and part-time employees that work in a cohesive working environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Food preparation and serving in accordance with District policy and State regulations.
• Knowledge and ability to use the District's Point of Sale computer system.
• Washing dishes and kitchen/storage/serving area cleanup, as assigned.
• Report all maintenance needs and safety issues to the Food Service Manager.
• Maintain all safety standards in performing duties (i.e., physical safety, emergencies, chemicals, wet areas.)
• All other tasks or duties assigned by the Food Service Manager.

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS

• Ability to work up to 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday on student contact days.
• Maintain all safety standards in performing duties (i.e., sanitation, physical safety, emergencies, chemicals, wet areas.)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly, without physically straining body.
• Work cooperatively with all school personnel and students.
• Maintain a cheerful and positive attitude when in contact with the public, guests, school personnel, and students.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Know and follow District guidelines as set forth for the assigned position, employee handbook, and District policies.
