Job Description

Job Title:
2nd Shift Quality Lead Job Description We are seeking a dedicated 2nd Shift Quality Lead to join our team from 2pm to 10:30pm. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with quality standards and food safety regulations. Responsibilities Review and approve records to ensure compliance. Identify deviations and initiate Non-Conformance and Corrective Action (CAPA) investigations, including root cause analyses. Manage the disposition of raw materials and products as Hold/Release/Quarantine and update the electronic WMS system accordingly. Conduct basic food safety/cGMP and quality-related training for new hires. Assist in developing SOPs related to manufacturing processes and production personnel compliance training. Provide support during audits by regulatory and third parties. Conduct and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual environmental testing as part of the Environmental Monitoring Program. Collect raw materials for testing and sample finished products to collect data and identify sensory attributes. Evaluate sensory characteristics for product approval and shelf life studies. Collaborate with production personnel to correct processes when products are out of compliance. Convey test results to appropriate personnel and follow up as needed. Complete audits based on the production schedule. Conduct and coordinate facility environmental testing. Promote and follow GMPs within the facility. Essential Skills Quality control and assurance FDA regulations Food production and manufacturing GMP and HACCP knowledge Experience with SQF, GFSI, or PCQI Batch record review Additional Skills & Qualifications 3+ years of experience in Food or GMP Manufacturing Quality Degree in the sciences is preferred Training or experience in SQF, HACCP, GFSI, or PCQI is a plus Work Environment This position is based in a food manufacturing plant with a 50/50 split between lab and floor work. Training will be provided for 3 to 6 months. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Muskego, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
