WHAT THIS ROLE WILL BE DOING
SUMMARY :
The Distribution Supervisor position will oversee the 2nd shift warehouse staff, be responsible for maintaining proper SAFETY procedures, proper maintenance of the facility and equipment, ensuring that we accurately distribute quality building materials on a predictable schedule that fit our customer's needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(not limited to) Daily communication with all workers to ensure all the objectives for the day are met in a timely manner Maintain a positive and clean work environment in conjunction with maintaining all SAFETY procedures. Pick and pack to ensure all orders are pulled and packaged properly to be loaded Sorts and moves product interdepartmentally while operating and using a variety of material handling equipment, including but not limited to forklift, hand-helds, racks, etc. Ensure good communication between Purchasing, Customer Service, Sales, Credit and all other Warehouses to ensure that customers commitments have been satisfied Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of equipment, buildings and grounds Ensure that all processes and procedures are used to ensure Customer satisfaction Daily communications with the Distribution Manager All other tasks as assigned by Distribution management.
A DISTRIBUTION SUPERVISOR WILL POSSESS AND DEMONSTRATE
Ability to manage multiple demands while maintaining solid communication skills both verbally and especially by e-mail Overall safety mindset is crucial to create an imbedded culture of safety within the employee population. Ability to work independently while demonstrating leadership skills that portray excellent team work mentality Problem solving and innovative solutions to eliminate obstacles Dynamic self-motivation and ability to work a flexible schedule Ability to maintain positive moral within the workforce Education /
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Warehouse hand-held ERP technology
  • experience a plus but not required
  • training will be provided.
3-5 years warehouse experience Working Demands /
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds Ability to stand/bend/walk for long periods of time
REPORTS TO
: Distribution Manager and Regional Distribution Manager
