We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to help lead one of our high-volume institutional food service operations . This leadership position is ideal for an experienced, advancement-minded professional who thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of leading people, driving accountability, and delivering exceptional operational results. Key Responsibilities Assist in directing all daily operations of a large-volume, multi-service food operation. Lead, develop, coach, and hold accountable a diverse team of food service professionals. Demonstrate exceptional people leadership and the ability to manage multiple lines of service simultaneously , Ensure the highest standards of food quality, food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance. Maintain accountability for food, labor, inventory, and operational performance. Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training, and employee development. Build and maintain a strong working relationship with client leadership through professionalism, communication, and responsiveness. Foster a culture focused on safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have:
Outstanding leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and retain high-performing teams. Experience successfully managing multiple food service operations or multiple lines of service within a large institutional environment. 3-5+ years of progressive leadership experience in institutional, healthcare, higher education, military, hospitality, or other high-volume food service environments. Strong financial acumen, including labor, food cost, inventory, and purchasing controls. Extensive knowledge of HACCP, sanitation, and food safety standards. ServSafe Certification preferred (or ability to obtain). Employment Requirements Due to the nature of this assignment, candidates must be able to successfully pass all required background investigations, security clearances, drug screening, and any additional client-required pre-employment screenings and credentialing requirements before beginning employment. Candidates must also be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as operational needs require.
