Role:
This is an entry-level position starting as an Office Assistant & Quoting Agent, but is designed to fast-track you into becoming a professional Travel Advisor. You'll begin by supporting our senior advisors through hands-on, on-the-job training with real client work and opportunities to build your travel knowledge. Over time, you'll develop the skills to move into a client-facing, travel planning, and sales role. The Adventure Assistant is a critical part of our team. You must be detail-oriented, positive, organized, tech-savvy, and passionate about helping others.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Open and prepare the office daily to create a welcoming, professional environment Greet every client and caller warmly and be the friendly first point of contact Maintain client files, organize paperwork, assist with accurate data entry Collect traveler information and schedule client appointments Prepare brochures, create preliminary travel quotes, and assist with trip arrangements alongside senior advisors Assist with light housekeeping (coffee preparation, tidying front areas, assigned cleaning day, etc.) Support monthly client events (typically once per month, evening hours with an adjusted schedule) Write professional client communications (emails, notes, confirmations) Learn and utilize travel quoting and booking software Manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining strong attention to detail Work collaboratively with the team to meet client needs and business goals Actively participate in training and development to advance toward becoming a
Travel Advisor Qualifications and Skills:
Passion for travel; general knowledge of the travel industry is a plus Highly detail-oriented and organized, ensuring accuracy in every task Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, friendly approach Customer-focused mindset with patience, positivity, and a genuine desire to help others Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems, software, and online tools Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professional demeanor in appearance, communication, and workplace conduct Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively Collaborative team player who contributes to a supportive and positive work culture Passionate about assisting clients and coworkers to create exceptional experiences Strong desire to develop professionally and grow into a Travel Advisor role
Work Hours:
Monday-Friday:
8:30 AM-4:00 PM Flexibility based on event schedules, client meetings, and office needs
Select Saturdays:
1-2 times per year
