The ideal candidate will assist clients in planning and booking their travel arrangements, providing exceptional customer service and expert travel advice. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your passion for travel and hospitality can make a meaningful difference in our clients' experiences. The position involves coordinating various aspects of travel, including flights, accommodations, tours, and transportation, ensuring seamless and memorable journeys for our customers. We need an agent who is willing to come in the office a minimum of 3 days a week (downtown Detroit, Buhl Building lobby). Familiarity with Galileo or Worldspan would be desired. We are affiliated with Travel Leaders. Responsibilities Consult with clients to understand their travel preferences, needs, and budgets Research and recommend suitable travel options, including flights, hotels, car rentals, and activities Book and confirm travel arrangements accurately using industry-standard booking systems Provide detailed itineraries and travel documentation to clients Offer expert advice on destinations, travel requirements, and local attractions Assist with resolving travel issues or emergencies during trips Maintain up-to-date knowledge of travel industry trends, airline policies, and hotel offerings Promote additional services such as travel insurance or tour packages to enhance client experience Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals Requirements Proven experience in sales, customer service, or hospitality preferred Strong knowledge of travel planning processes and industry standards Familiarity with hotel operations and the hospitality sector is a plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively assist diverse clients Ability to handle multiple bookings simultaneously with attention to detail Passion for travel and providing outstanding customer service Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, a minimum of 3 days a week in our office is required Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and industry developments Prefer familiarity with Galileo or Worldspan.
