Job Description

Job description The Bilingual Travel Advisor is responsible for assisting clients with travel planning, reservations, customer support, and travel-related sales while communicating effectively in both English and Chinese. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to explain commission-based travel products and services, and the capability to support multicultural clients in a professional and customer-focused environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced travel and tourism environment and can confidently communicate travel information, pricing, and itineraries to clients and team members. Key Responsibilities Assist clients with booking flights, hotels, tours, cruises, transportation, and vacation packages. Communicate professionally in English and Chinese with customers and internal staff. Explain pricing, travel packages, and promotional programs clearly to clients. Provide customer service support before, during, and after travel arrangements. Prepare travel itineraries and reservation documentation. Support multilingual communication and translation during meetings, or customer interactions. Maintain accurate booking records and payment information. Assist clients with travel-related questions, changes, cancellations, or issues. Build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals. Stay informed on travel industry trends, destination updates, and travel regulations. Collaborate with team members in a multicultural environment. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Business, or related field preferred. Previous experience in travel, hospitality, tourism, customer service, or sales preferred.
Fluency in:
English Mandarin and/or Cantonese preferred Strong communication and presentation skills. Familiarity with travel reservation systems is a plus: Sabre Amadeus Galileo Required Skills Multilingual communication Customer service Sales and relationship building Attention to detail Cultural awareness and sensitivity Organizational skills Problem-solving Ability to work independently and within a team Preferred Qualifications Experience working with Chinese-speaking clients or international travelers. Knowledge of Chinese culture and communication styles. Experience in commission-based sales environments. Social media or online travel marketing experience is a plus. Work Environment Office-based environment. May require evening or weekend availability depending on customer needs. Fast-paced customer-facing travel business environment.
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
