Hours:
8:30 AM CST - 5:30 PM CST; with 1 hour lunch (40-hour work week)

Summary:
Adhere to accepted practices and uphold company policies and procedures. As a Sr. Corporate Travel Consultant, you will provide outstanding customer service to corporate travelers before, during, and after their business trips. You will be at the forefront of providing exceptional experience and play a key role in delivering a safe and enjoyable journey to our travelers while representing Carrousel Travel.
Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Create and complete travel arrangements (air domestic/international, hotel, car, rail)
  • Ensure reservations are built according to client standards and preferences
  • Act as a trusted advisor by offering informed and insightful recommendations that provide the best traveler experience
  • Handle a wide range of booking from simple ones to complex bookings with potentially non-standard and multi-destinations, ticket exchanges, and complex fares
  • Make changes or solve any issues that might occur during or before the travel
  • Assignments include both routine and non-routine work

  • Strong teamworking skills
  • Maintain availability on ACD call rotation to take customer calls
  • Work with customers by phone and email to research trip components, and provide fare quotes
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills on all correspondence with clients and suppliers
  • Process GDS reservations and ticketing as instructed, while abiding within each customers travel policy
  • Handle reservations changes by exchange ticket issuance, refunds, or voids for clients as supplier rules allow
  • Offer hotel and car reservations on every air booking. If arrangements secured outside of company, offer to take over the reservation
  • Capture exception reporting data
  • When working with group travel, cross-reference group traveler registration spreadsheets prior to ticket issuance for proper authorization and to verify ticketing status
  • General traveler assistance such as passport and visa requirements/services
  • Work with suppliers via phone, GDS, email, and fax to finalize arrangements and process authorizations as applicable
  • Complete PNR finishing using required scripting for quality control measures and to ensure reporting accuracy
  • Generate timely and accurate GDS invoices to ensure customer reporting accuracy, and internal tracking requirements
  • Check and process queues daily for itinerary changes
  • Make modifications and updates to profiles from approved customer contacts as requested
  • Research debit memos as applicable
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Work Skills:
  • Knowledge GDS - Travel Port Plus preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good phone etiquette
  • Ability to multi-task by helping customers and maintaining ACD phone availability
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to follow directions and meet deadlines
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of related travel agent experience within a travel agency environment
  • Microsoft Office Outlook Email, Microsoft Office Outlook Calendars
  • International and Domestic Booking and Ticketing within GDS
  • Must be local
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong client relationship skills.
Physical Demands:
  • Sit or stand for up to 8 hours per day
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
