Pepperdine University / CSU Channel Islands Are you looking to earn money while traveling, meeting students from around the world, and exploring some of Southern California's most iconic destinations? Expedition America is looking for fun, reliable, and energetic Summer Tour Guides to lead international student groups on day trips to San Diego, Beverly Hills, and Hollywood. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys travel, student groups, sightseeing, and creating memorable experiences. Our tours include a mix of group coordination, guided support, sightseeing stops, free time, and restaurant coordination. Your role is to make sure students feel welcomed, informed, organized, and excited throughout the day. CSU Channel Islands About Expedition America Expedition America is a travel company that provides tours and day trips for international students to destinations such as Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco, San Diego, theme parks, sporting events, and other exciting experiences across California and beyond. We specialize in creating fun, organized, and memorable trips for students from all over the world. Most of our work involves guiding student groups, coordinating logistics, and helping students have a smooth and unforgettable travel experience. Responsibilities As a Summer Tour Guide, you will: Lead groups of international students on day trips around Southern California Check in students at the beginning of the tour Create a fun, welcoming, and energetic atmosphere Share important trip details, meeting points, timing, and return instructions Help students feel comfortable, included, and excited for the day Coordinate with drivers, team members, and restaurant/activity partners Keep the group organized, informed, and on schedule Answer student questions and provide basic day-of-tour support Assist with sightseeing stops, photo stops, and free-time instructions Provide friendly and professional customer service throughout the tour Help create a smooth and positive experience from departure to return Qualifications We are looking for someone who is: Positive, outgoing, and energetic Reliable and punctual Comfortable speaking in front of groups Professional, responsible, and friendly Comfortable managing groups of students Able to stay calm and organized in busy environments A strong communicator Good at time management and multitasking Interested in travel, sightseeing, student groups, and cultural exchange Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is outgoing, responsible, and enjoys working with international students. You should feel comfortable speaking to groups, keeping people organized, solving small issues on the go, and helping create a fun and memorable day for students visiting Southern California. This role is perfect for someone who loves travel, enjoys meeting people from around the world, and wants a summer job that feels different from a typical office or retail shift.
