Kayaking Tour Guide

Job Summary We are looking for 1-2 friendly, outgoing, experienced kayak guides to lead very small groups of kayakers in the bay. This is for a fun experience for guests at various levels to enjoy. Tours will be approximately 1.5 hours each + loading and unloading time, days and hours to work are flexible but having weekend availability is a must. Tour time options are primarily during evenings (sunset and night). Safety is the number one priority of our guides and guests and we are looking for capable and trusted leaders. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival Explain safety procedures to ensure guest confidence and safety Promote additional rental options or outdoor activity packages if needed to enhance guest experiences through proactive sales techniques Be conversationable and build rapport with guests to enhance the customer experience Maintain cleanliness of rental equipment Monitor weather conditions and be able to make judgement calls for the safety of others Qualifications Local kayaking expertise, please send any certifications Must be willing to attain CPR certification (Highly Preferred)- have access to vehicle that will hold 5 kayaks + additional equipment that you will use to unload from the storage unit to launch point and return to storage unit to unload when finished. Storage unit is ~15 minutes from launch point, gas will be expensed for you. Must be physically able to load and unload kayaks and equipment Confidence with leading guests in the bay and comfortable with this level of autonomy

Pay:

$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
