We're looking for actors, comedians, entertainers, historians, artists, writers, native Angelenos, and—of course—lovers of food. A flexible schedule is preferred. To Live and Dine in LA currently hosts 3-hour food tours in several neighborhoods in Los Angeles with plans to expand into more this year. This is a great job for someone who is in graduate school, has weekend availability, and/or holds another part-time position working primarily evening hours. Duties Lead lively and informative food tours, guiding groups through various culinary and historic stops with enthusiasm and professionalism Share detailed stories about local cuisine, history, and culture to enrich guests' experience Ensure guest safety and comfort throughout the tour by managing group dynamics, food allergies, and dietary requirements, and addressing questions or concerns Manage timing, route adjustments, and restaurant interactions to ensure a seamless experience Foster a welcoming environment by demonstrating excellent customer service and communication skills Requirements Flexible schedule with the ability to work both weekdays and weekends, be on-call with 24 hours' notice, and be available for 3-hour tours with start times ranging from 11 AM to 1 PM BA or MA in the humanities strongly preferred Previous experience in guiding tours, hospitality, or customer service roles preferred Strong public speaking skills with the ability to captivate audiences of all sizes Excellent communication and memorization skills to clearly and accurately convey stories, instructions, and safety information Proven time management skills to balance tour schedules efficiently Teaching or educational experience is a plus for sharing knowledge engagingly Multilingual or bilingual abilities highly desirable to connect with a broader range of guests Submit via Indeed or e-mail your resume to and tell us a little about yourself, how long you've lived here, and your favorite LA restaurant or neighborhood and why.
