1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel RN Supervisor for a Med/Surg Telemetry unit at a Level II trauma facility in Wildomar, CA, requiring a current CA RN license and prior charge or supervisory experience. Details Inpatient Med/Surg Telemetry unit at a Level II trauma facility 90-bed facility serving patients ages 15 and up Patient ratios of 4:1 (telemetry) and 5:1 (med/surg) Night shift schedule: 7p-7:30a, 12-hour shifts Weekend requirement: 2 weekends per rotation or 4 individual weekend days, on a rotating schedule every 6 weeks Floating required to Rancho Springs Hospital No on-call responsibilities This is a clinical supervisor position and the candidate may be subject to patient assignment Requirements Active CA RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Basic EKG/telemetry interpretation experience required, or completion of a Basic EKG course within 6 months of start Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required 1-2 years of charge nurse or supervisory experience in a relevant department required Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program required; BSN preferred Two professional references from a manager or supervisor within the last 2 years required for consideration Skills checklist completed within the last 12 months required for consideration NURSYS or primary license verification dated within the last 30 days required for consideration Additional Information Supervisor responsibilities include staffing adjustments, budget monitoring, staff scheduling, and oversight of daily unit operations Conducts purposeful patient rounding each shift to monitor safety and patient satisfaction Participates in performance improvement activities, concurrent record reviews, and Core Measures initiatives Actively participates in staff development, orientation, competency validation, and performance evaluations Required to attend at least 80% of Clinical Supervisor meetings Collaborates with director/manager on policy development, regulatory compliance, and HPRR investigations Must be able to interpret cardiac arrhythmias and intervene appropriately, including alerting the physician to significant changes Unit-specific knowledge may include bariatric, pediatric, cardiac, or orthopedic patient care depending on assignment Mandatory leadership training, including M3 training, is required
