Bike Shop Manager Position Summary Powderhorn Bike School is primarily responsible for coaching and guiding classes on downhill mountain biking. This may include guided tours, class lessons and camps assigned for adults and/or children. Lessons take place Thursday through Sunday during the summer season (June through early October). Primary Responsibilities/Duties Mountain Bike Instructor Teach lessons as assigned - class, camps, adult and/or children. Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude while effectively dealing with the guest and other employees. Participate in required trainings and orientations. Maintain a high level of physical condition. Maintain awareness of changing weather conditions Represents the mountain area to the guest in a professional, friendly, and polite manner. Comply with all company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Core Skills Competent cross-country & downhill trail biking ability Knowledge of basic bike mechanics Strong people skills Excellent verbal skills Ability to work well in a team environment. Excellent listening and feedback skill Is flexible with hours and days of work. Follow established policies and procedures. Computer Skills Ability to learn/use Axess Mostly Tech Desk Certifications/Licenses/Training PMBIA course encouraged Seasonal Orientation All Safety Training related to position, including company-wide safety processes and procedures Work Environment This position is based indoors. Must be able to walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain, climb/descend even/uneven/slippery terrain, climb/descend stairs, stand and/or sit for long periods of time, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
